Help and comments for the online facilitation page.
Using the video facilitation
What if I don't see the video?
The video requires a recent Flash player installed in your browser. Your browser should automatically ask you to install it if it is not already there. I also recommend you use the Firefox browser for best results.
How do I pause the video?
There is a pause button and seek bar directly under the video. You can pause and restart, or drag the seek bar at any time.
How do I advance or go back through the steps?
Click the forward or back button at the top right of the video window. Or jump right to any step by clicking on the timeline bar at the bottom. Moving your mouse over each button activates a label to tell you what step it is.
How do I find the introduction screen?
Click on the Start step in the timeline bar at the bottom. Then click the back button at the top right of the video window.
Using the notes template
What if I don't see the form?
The notes template on the right side of the screen requires Adobe Reader installed on your computer. For Macs, you can make do with the default PDF reader in Safari, but it's not as good. I recommend you install Firefox and the Adobe Reader for best results on both Macs and PCs.
If for some reason you have trouble seeing the file, download it directly using this link: Tangible Awareness Online Template, and open the file separately by double clicking on it. (You'll still need to install Adobe Reader.)
How do I print the form?
Click anywhere inside one of the form fields and press [Control / Command] and "P" at the same time. You can print a blank form this way to take your notes by hand, or type your notes in the form and print when you are finished.
Can I save a copy to my computer?
Yes! In some browsers a toolbar will show at the top, with a save icon. (To hide/reveal the toolbar, click anywhere in the form and press F8.) Save anywhere to your computer. I recommend naming the file with the name of the feeling you've mapped, and saving a different file for each map you do. Or save a blank copy and open it separately in Adobe Reader.
If for some reason you have trouble saving the file, download it directly using this link: Tangible Awareness Online Template.
How do I make the form larger so I can read my notes more easily?
Click anywhere on the form that is NOT inside the form fields. Then press [Control / Command] and "+" at the same time to enlarge, use "-" to reduce. In many browsers Adobe Reader will insert a toolbar at the top. You can set the zoom level manually. I recommend 75% for best results. (To hide/reveal the toolbar, click anywhere in the form and press F8.)
Also, if there is an extra toolbar at the left edge of the form, you can Right-click or Option-click and choose "Hide Navigation Panel Buttons." I can't think of any reason why you'd need them, and hiding them opens up some extra space for your form.
Another option is to save the form to your computer (see above) and open it separately in Adobe Reader. Reduce your browser window to show only the video panel, and arrange your desktop so the form and the video are both visible.
